WINE FAIR VINITALY VERONA

Unique International Fair of Wine producers from Italy and 25 countries was held in Verona 22.-25.3.2015. This is really a cult place where all wine lovers must go once. Something like a pilgrimage. Verona was under siege. An hour before the opening traffic crowd at the exit of the highway was 5 km long. Police redirect traffic to free parking and close part of the city filled with the cars. To the fair every few minutes from the center area went free buses on several lines. At the entrance to the fairground lines a few hundred meters. Admission was € 60 if purchased at the fair or € 55 via Internet. The fair is huge and each Italian region had its own pavilion, as well as special Pavilions to foreign exhibitors and delicacies that are consumed with wine and olive oil, beer. One entire pavilion was dedicated only for sparkling wines and Expo to be held in Milan this year. There could enter only journalists and professionals with invitations. It has been a unique opportunity to taste the best sparkling wines of the world. One pavilion was separated for production equipment and packaging. Tastings were everywhere. Not only wine at the stands, but also we could taste, cheese, ham, truffles, chocolate, cookies, various snacks, bread and olive oil. Depend what that region had to offer. At each stand was the vessel in which you could spit the wine after tasting. It is really pitty to do for the best wines of individual manufacturers. Glasses were representative made of glass, a shape corresponding to a particular type of wine. A well established system of delivery of clean glasses and wash dirtyin every pavilion functioned perfectly. What else to say but excellent organization of the fair and the city of Verona. Croatian exhibitors did not came, but there was a great stand associated producers Slovenia.
