MODERNPAK 2013 (22 – 25 May)
Since its launching the specialized packing materials and packing technology fair Modernpak has been organized 25 times (first annually, then biennially). As the meeting point of manufacturers and consumers – users of packaging, Modernpak brings together the branch with a mission to exchange knowledge and experience acquired in the field of production and application of packing and distribution of goods. At the same time, it presents the latest trends and innovations in the packing technology as well as modern solutions for ecologically acceptable packaging.
Back in 1973, James Pilditch wrote a book, whose title became synonymous with a different view at packaging: The Silent Salesman. Packaging, says Pilditch, is a creative salesman: it is used to awaken dreams.. emotions, and to sell reality. Today, 40 years later, much more is required from packaging. It is the key and the strongest part of a comprehensive product sale. Packaging is often a crucial media while making the decision on a purchase.
Therefore, it encourages the market game of manufacturers for attracting end users. In the past 5 years, production of all kinds of packaging (except for metal packaging) in Croatia has been registering growth pursuant to the increased industrial production. Packaging and packing producers are achieving good business results, they are export-oriented and managing to sell everything they produce. Packaging is at the same time one of the key factors in the product placement. Everybody knows that “packaging sells the product”.
Without quality packaging as an unavoidable part of the product, it is impossible to assume a competitive position at the market. Business gifts as an inevitable part of the corporate culture are becoming increasingly significant. For that reason, the need arises for an overall review of present and future trends in exchanging gifts between business partners as well as in the communication towards end users – consumers.
INTERGRAFIKA 2013 (22 – 25 May)
The International Printing and Paper Industry Fair INTERGRAFIKA is the regional show of the latest world technology achievements in the printing industry as well as paper finishing and processing industry. The fact that the printing industry accounts for 8.93% in the Croatian GNP of industrial production and provides work for 6.81% of all people employed in the processing industry confirms its significance for the economy. INTERGRAFIKA is a biennial fair bringing together the leading world manufacturers of the machines, devices and the equipment for the printing, paper and cardboard industry, auxiliary materials and finished products. Over the years, this specialized fair has shown that it has important prospects for this part of Europe and that it encourages development of the IT, publishing, printing and paper industry as well as the overall entrepreneurship in this branch of the economy. Beside the exhibition part, INTERGRAFIKA will offer a rich programme of professional and accompanying events to be attended by experts from the country and abroad and by exhibitors in order to exchange their knowledge and experience. The traditional presentation of awards to exhibitors for their successful participation will take place this year as well. Notwithstanding the rapid development of marketing media and other modern forms of business communications the trade fairs today are becoming more and more significant for the entire business communications and thus have good prospects. The fairs will remain the competent venue to present business possibilities of exhibitors – new technologies and trends, to compare with the competition and to secure trade visits from the region.
